History

The Sunbird Spa was founded in 1990 by John Lefel, an experienced Naturopath, Massage- and Bowen Therapist. He constantly expanded the business, located at the prestigious Sheraton Mirage in Port Douglas, until it included Body treatments (Massages, Facials, Hydrobath, Steam, Body scrubs and masks etc.) as well as Hair and Beauty (Manicures, Pedicures, Make up). After more than 16 years he sold the well established Spa in 2004 to Mind&Motion, the company of Renee Allert and Frank Frikker, who are aiming to uplift the Spa to a holistic wellness sanctuary, including treatments for the mind as well as the body. In addition to the existing ‘passive’ treatments they plan to include more ‘active’ parts like Yoga, Pilates, Water exercises etc.

Today a highly dedicated team is awaiting you to pamper and relax you as well as empower you to feel good in your daily routine.
